Megève - The real estate market

The real estate market of the area and particularly of Megèveis really interesting. Houses prices are continuously increasing (10-15 per cent every year). This is a great benefit for those who would like to buy an house even as a pure investment.
From the market point of view there are 5 areas that are more important:
The Village, the central area, Mont d’Arbois, Rochebrune, e Jaillet.

The village: is a highly commended area for those how loves shopping and the comfort of the shopsvery close to the house. It is an animated area and from the main squarea ski-lift reach one of the nicest tracks of the area. The real estate market is really interesting and it is possible to find fantastic flats (it is really difficult to find chalets) that are sure investments in a an active andvivid market.

The central area: here,you are close to the comfort of thecentral area but out of the “caos” of the village. From the real estate market and investment point of view has the same opportunities of “The Village”.

The Mount d’Arbois area: is a purely natural area, it is close to the ski area an to the famous 18 holes golf court. In this area are highly demanded the typical chalets in “Savoiardo style” that can be single or with different apartments.

The Rochebrune area: it is important because it is in the nature, in a slightly raised position compare the centre. It was the first residential area and it is close to the ski tracks with the same name. In this area is possible to find single chalets and apartments with incomparable panorama.

The Jaillet area: is less requested but highly appreciated for the exposition to the sun. Here the real estate market is very interesting from the economical point of view. An house in this area could be good investment for the future.

The villages in the area:

Combloux is a village in typical savoiardo style five kilometres far from Megève with an incomparable view of the Mont Blanc. It is the only one that can be compared with Megève regarding the value of the real estate market.

Praz, Arly e S. Gervais: are less notable but anyway nice. Here the prices are lower and it is possible to find big Chalets in savoiardo style for half of the price of Megève.

In the area there is no and the continuous exchange let he investors and the lovers of the area to find the right house for their needing.

Depending on the area, roughly the price of a new apartment could go from 6000 to 10000 €/m2. For “used” houses could be between4000 and 8000 €/m2.
The highest prices are in the area of Mont d'Arbois and of the village.
